The 92NY Future Dance Festival is an annual curated festival rooted in a mission to invest in the collective future of dance through uplifting and supporting emerging artists. The Festival connects the next generation of choreographers and dance filmmakers with the current generation of directors and industry leaders. Madeline Maxine Roman is one of the choreographers selected in 2026.
She will present her work Forbidden Fruit, a virtuosic duet exploring religion, sexuality, and anger through bold, dramatic partnering. As the dancers jump, crawl, and cling to one another with intense physicality, the work invites audiences to confront expectations placed on women.
