PERFORMANCES

We’re not striving for polite applause at the end. GRIDLOCK Dance creates shows that make you lean forward, not sit back. Our repertory spans both visually striking, tech-infused spectacles and raw, stripped-down choreography. Artistic Director Madeline Maxine Roman, recognized in Dance Magazine’s 25 to Watch, stages fraught yet fruitful conversations about what it means to be human in the digital age.

MASTERCLASSES

GRIDLOCK Dance teaches the way we rehearse (with conversation, cardio, and good vibes!) In university and studio settings, our advanced classes push dancers past their comfort zones with floorwork, improvisation, and repertory that demand athleticism and presence. For nonprofits, museums, and community groups, we design workshops for all levels that helps people experience movement as play, release, and a tool for self-care.
