Want to take a feel-good contemporary dance class in Washington, DC? Look no further.

Our monthly workshop is designed for intermediate and advanced movers who want to dive deeper into their bodies and their artistry. Led by Artistic Director Max, we explore floorwork, dynamic force, and full-body connection. Each session begins with guided improvisation and conditioning, builds into technique exercises, and ends with phrase work or excerpts from our repertoire. Come find your flow, push your boundaries, and move in community with us.

  • Drop-ins are always welcome, but we also recommend keeping an eye on the CityDance website, as they sometimes offer discounts for signing up for multiple classes at a time.

  • Clothes you can roll around in (pants recommended), water, and kneepads if you’ve got sensitive knees.

  • This class is meant for dancers who already have a solid technical foundation and want to push themselves with floorwork, power, and artistic expression. If you’re looking for a beginner-friendly class, we recommend checking out the other awesome options CityDance offers.

  • Warm-up → conditioning → floorwork + technique → finish with phrasework or company rep. We strive for fun, sweaty, and supportive vibes.
